Chumps League - It's a knockout

by soggy biscuit » 24 Feb 2009 12:26

Find myself really looking forward to the next 2 evenings games!

Quick predictions would be:

Utd to win in Milan. Utd's makeshift defence and Inter's none to special defence paired with Utd's attacking force and Inter's (when on form) special front men could make this a cracker, fingers crossed.

Arsenal's 5 year unbeaten home European record to come to an end against the Romans. Too many players out injured. Plus I freaking love Totti! (and De Rossi)

Liverpool to get spanked in Madrid.

Chelsea. hmmm, hard to see where this will go, draw it is I guess. Sissoko has been crunchingly good recently, will be interesting to see how he does. I freaking love Del Piero!!

soggy biscuit Liverpool to get spanked in Madrid

I need to see the RM team first, I think Huntelaar isn't available.

If Madrid score early it might encourage Liverpool to play a bit, instead of the borefest that this is a danger of being

I want to see Ibrahimovic have a special game

I prefer Vucinic to Totti, and its one or the other, really, for Roma.

If Robben is passed fit then Liverpool have a lot to worry about, the boy has been a sensation in Spain. Raul & Higuain are both on fire right now, too much going forward for Liverpool I reckon.

Gago & Diarra have formed a very good partnership.

Agree about Higuain.

Not sure about Robben's influence right now, he missed the 4-0 beating of Gijon, and RM were already 6-1 up when he come on as sub on Saturday just gone. I know he's played well this season, I can remember him scoring a few weeks back, but I can also recall him limping off in the same match (sorry, I cannot recall who it was against) so he's not certain of a start.

They seem to have started scoring for fun since he's been injured, despite him being (IMVHO) their best attacking player. Shows what I know.

Mourinho is the only manager that always gets one over on Fergie....Will this continue?

Well, yeah, 1 hour of fitness training and 1 hour of ball work so, yes, it is indeed a night of footie for some of us
