Well let's be honest....it is. Why should the plastics who don't come to games unless they're on oxf*rd offer be rewarded?

but cheap train fars are ok, despite others paying full wack.

we have 8000 seats for fans to sell per game, better to sell out at £10 a seat than not sell out shirley?

Whilst I understand your sentiments, cmonurz, I think that STH's would have a right to feel aggrieved - £10 for adults would (by my calculations) mean a minimum discount of £37.50 (5 * £7.50). This, on top of the other promotional discounts, would mean that STH's have actually paid more to watch RFC this season than those fans who didn't buy a ST but have attended every game:

Renewal ST in the East: £425

Home games up to end of November (i.e. pre VAT drop) = 9 games @ £18
Home games from end of November to end of February = 9 games @ £17.50
Remaining 5 games @ £10
Total price = £369.50

So yes, it is unfair.

Having said that, I would welcome some sort of promotion to fill up the stands (even kid for a quid in the South Stand for the remaining 5 games).

Maybe if they offered £10 if you go with a ST holder it would be fairer.

Quite simple really - home games in advance were £18 at the start of the season and were reduced by 50p when the VAT reduction came in. All you need to do then if count the number of games.

Simple - even for an old codger like you

One other issue with this is that (I believe) all home games for the rest of the season are now on sale. Don't think RFC TO have the capability to change ticket prices once their already on sale.

I think you have the wrong season if you think tickets are £18

Shows how long it is since I bought a single ticket!

Still, even at £23, then £22.50 and then £10 it's down to £459.50. Add that to the rest of the discounts and you're heading towards it being cheaper not to have bought a ST.

I'm surprised they even bothered to open the South Stand (home section) for the 30 fans who were sat in it yesterday.
