Midweek football - 3rd & 4th March

by Ginger Ninjas » 03 Mar 2009 17:08

Full programme of fixtures on tues/wed this week...

Potential for further embarassment for Liverpool's and Arsenal's spluttering campaigns tonight (both start as strong favourites for 3 points), with several important games regarding PL relegation tomorrow.

In the Championship, let's hope that Forest can pick up 3 more points, and Colin can do us a rare favour with victory over Wolves. And maybe Reading will score to round off a good night.

Also of note, Bournemouth have the chance to climb out of the relegation zone for the first time this season.

It'll be up to 10 with their games in hand.

Chelsea will not win the league this season

Who, of any quality that could beat them, do Man Utd have left to play?

Benitez really is a bit of a tool, bored of him and the same interview after a game. If I was a Liverpool fan I'd be delighted that he might leave because they will never win the league with that idiot in charge, they lose stupid points like at Boro and Reading last season.

Are you staying? Are you going? pfffff nay interest, the funny thing I find about it is he's linked to Real Madrid! A club where a manager was sacked in recent years for not picking Raul (iirc) So if he wants 'more control' at a club then thelikes of Madrid would be far worse than Liverpool!!

Sing or don't sign, stay or leave it's quite simple. The facthe's signed nothing would indicate he's leaving at the end of the season and as already stated if I supported Liverpool I'd be chuffed about that.

At the moment what Benitez has to say about fooball is about as interesting as Jade Good'y views on privacy.

They play Villa, Liverpool and Arsenal at home, but its not like they screw up at home against that lot

The rest is lower half mediocrity
