Sun Tzu
That Friday Feeling I'm not suggesting that it's going to happen but the club could take the view that a "re-alignment" would serve them better, rewarding, as it would, those customers that are actively investing in the club.

But what benefit is there in taking away the points earned by someone who you know has a strong link to the club but for whatever reason hasn't been so involved for a while ? Got to be worth encouraging them to return rather than persuading those with no links to start. If the people who have stopped coming don't use their points anyway then resetting the account makes no difference.

And what incentive is there to a new supporter who might want to start coming to matches on a regular basis but will never get the pick of the seats because the "day one" points requirement is upped every season?

I was just playing Devil's Advocate but the more I think about it the more sense it makes for points over, say, three years old to expire. Regular attendees will still get the best seats. Newbies will see a fair loyalty reward. Everyone's a winner.

Not a bad idea but it would bugger the likes of Ark Royal. Been to more games than I have had hot dinners yet lives in the USA. Comes over generally once a year and tries to take in a game. If loyalty points were to count over a shorter period then the risk of alienating longer term yet more distant supporters increases.

Thank goodness I don't have to draw up the rules.

there wil always be exceptions to the rule, i would like to think that fans that live far away will have access to the odd ticket, but they cannot really expect that as a right. 3 seasons cut off seems fair, we older attendees will stil have the chance of tickets, but less chance than current attending fans, seems fine to me.

Can't really afford it, but I've finally renewed nonetheless.

Well after a lot of consideration, i've renewed.

The fact is, i'm never going to sit at home and not go, and buying tickets week in week out would be a bit of a bore.

And RL's, and my dad's

Yay!!!! We get to keep our lovely seats. If the people behind could just not renew, I'd be like a pig in a mud.

I was commenting on his comment. He's driving home at this particular moment and I'd not noticed his comment previously. I'll be sure to say "yay" to him when he walks through the door though.

Knew I shouldn't have renewed!!

Mind you, the way we are playing at the moment, I really think the club are going to struggle if they think people will shell out for season tickets at this season's prices for next season's Championship football.
