rfcjoe Absolutely stunning strike from the best striker in the world.

Completely agreed, his second goal, a header, was a peach too.

LOL. Goals!

1625: GOAL Wigan 1-1 Arsenal

1625: GOAL Tottenham 1-0 West Ham

1624: GOAL Portsmouth 2-2 West Brom

1624: GOAL Chelsea 4-0 Bolton

1621: GOAL Portsmouth 1-2 West Brom
Chris Brunt's free-kick deflects off the wall and completely deceives David James. Dream still alive for the Baggies.

1621: GOAL Chelsea 3-0 Bolton
Frank Lampard's cross clips Gretar Steinsson's arm and the England man dispatches the penalty.

1620: Penalty to Chelsea

Stoke 1 Newcastle 0 (Faye)

Stoke hammering Newcastle. Second half, less than a minute in and one off the line. Could well be Newcastle's year!

An afternoon when you felt as though you should be doing something else and it's only Villa v Everton.
Cracking game but unfortunately Ashley Young in particular but also Agbonlahor (possible England players again in the future)are turning into divers like Rooney which doesn't augur well for England.

I don't think Young dived per se - I think contact was made in each case but he did go down. But every player red, blue, whatever, does it.

I was sat in a pub, with a big plate of sunday roast. What other way to spend a Bank Holiday weekend sunday?

Throroughly entertaining game of football - seems to be rare these days (maybe I just watch the wrong games) which makes it more appreciated.

3 Time taken penalty at The New Den for MIllwall.

Peterborough keeper a yard of his line twice, saved the first two.

Off his line for the 3rd, goal scored, but no call up on that.

Seen penalties saved when the keeper has been 4/5 yards of the line and been allowed to play on.

Oh, Millwall 1-0 Peterborough

That's because the Laws of the Game state that if the keeper infringes but a goal is scored then the goal stands.

This is one of those ones that they always bring up on things like Goals on Sunday and such like, thinking they're being clever criticizing the ref, when they're just showing their own ignorance of the Laws.

Fact of the day - United have conceded as many goals (11) in their last 6 games, as they did in their previous 27 games in the Premier League.
