F*CK ALL!

Yes, City last won a major trophy in 76 and that’s 33 years ago but last nights defeat means their cabinet won’t be opened till next season at the earliest.

34 years F*CK ALL!

It didn't for Kaka. The only players who will go there are one's like Bellamy and Bridge coming to the end of there careers looking for one last big pay day.

The new money took over during the transfer window when they were already out of the race for a champions league spot.

They now have the whole of the close season to build their squad.

Poor old dog again worried to death about other teams.
Why don't you just chill out and rejoice in your team winning 2,3,4 or 5 trophies?
For the sake of English football I really hope that City do a Man Utd or Chelsea and buy success (the only clubs before City to spend over £30 million on individual players)-the more competition the better IMHO as the top 4 being so far ahead does make The Premiership often extremely dull.

LOL @ Buying success, especially saying that about Man Utd. Chelsea did have a quicker rise to success, but you forget that they were there or there abouts in the League and they did win trophies prior to Abramovich taking over.

United have brought success, it happened at the beginning of the Premier League era. May not have been 10s of millions but they were outspending everyone around them.

The didn't buy success though, they spent the 10s of millions because they earn't it by being, SUCCESSFUL.

They spent quite heavily before Abramovich and didn't win the league.
With the open cheque book they were able to buy the league, not sustain it mind you but just buy it for a couple of years.
Similarly Man Utd-what other club has forked out for players in the £30 million range?
Ferdinand,Rooney and Berbatov come immediately to mind and Tevez would have cost the same but for the ludicrous loan system.
Buying players for these fantastic amounts works in terms of winning championships-look also at the 2 Milans and Juventus in Italy,Real Madrid and Barcelona in Spain and Bayern Munich in Germany.
All of these clubs have been at the head of spending in their countries just like Chelsea and Man Utd and have regularly bid for the most expensive players in the world-not the lesser players but world stars .
Like Schards I think Man City will be around the very top of The Premiership (it took Chelsea a couple of years)within the next 4 years or so because they can afford to now go for the very top players at £30 million plus rather than the medium range (like Villa,Liverpool and Arsenal) that they have looked at previously.

We're you in nappies or something?

Cole was a big buy at the time, but largely the team was made up of youngsters (Scholes, Butt, G.Neville, P.Neville, Beckham, Giggs - anyone else?), and they had experiance like Pallister, Bruce and Robson and a young and up and coming Roy Keane.
Solskiar (sp?) cost little when he arrived too.

In 92 when they were outspending everyone they had only a FA Cup and Cup Winners Cup to their name in the previous 26 years.

Does nobody understand when the Premier League began, not 95, not 96, not 97 but 1992.

What's the got to do with it? :?

They haven't had a wealthy owners bankrolling them though have they? not in 1992 and not now. If they were outspending people in 1992 it was because they were making money from gate receipts.

The same young, up and coming Roy Keane that they bought for a British Transfer record?
