Considering the amount of times he received the ball in promising positions, his conversion rate was criminal.

What was most troubling ws that when we did manage to get the ball to byeline positions Barnsley were all at sea.
We just never did it consitently enough though - instead we'd rather try and put in the (easy to defend) lump into the box from deep positions.

A thread, such as this must, include Roger Joslyn in the mix.

I can't see how anyone can stand up for Kebe. I just don't see what the point in having him in the team when he's so narrow minded. Not once did he look up for a pass, all he did was run into defenders. Players were getting forward and all he'd do was lose the ball and leave us susceptible to counter attacks. In the few times he actually beat his man his delivery was poor.

No he's not the worst player at Reading ever, no it wasn't a sitter, and no he's not the sole reason why were not winning but he is not good enough.

If he was half as bad as he was up at Blackpool then I bet it was a treat to watch.

Gordons Cumming Sorry, but I'd prefer John Oster to Jimmy Kebe any time.

At least John knew when to play the simple ball.

Steady now.

Henry>Kebe

Henry has been one of Millwalls best players since going out on loan there, albeit a division below. But you'll never see how good he is until you give him a long spell in the team. Playing youngsters like Karacan and Pearce have proved themselves as good moves so why not try James Henry. I'm still not convinced Kebe has grasped the english game which is why i feel Henry as a much better equiped replacement. I'm not a big fan of Kebe but he does produce good things occassionally but i just feel he doesn's do enough. Also, i will never forgive him for missing that one on one with the keeper at Portman Road.

Long scored from a Kebe cross?

You mean a player who is crap and "not good enough for the Championship" scored
from a great cross by "the worst player ever to wear Reading shirt"?

Second assist from a GREAT Kebe cross

and um, SHANE LONG scores (again)

NINE goals in 1350 minutes (15 games equivalent) the most lethal striker for RFC this season

Kebe's season was summed up in that 90minutes absolutely perfectly.

Half atrocious

Half unplayable.

I haven't posted on this thread that I can remember. I get tired of HNA singling one player out to be the boo boy dujour. But I m happy to say that I think Jimmy Kebe is a great player and I am happy to have him in the team.

He's basicly coming good at the right time, in the right (left) position, and with the right cross.
I have said all along that once he learns to slow down, gain spacial awareness and understand not to fall over his own feet that he will do what he did last night.
Slowly, slowly the consistancy will come into his game.
