I was VERY suprised by how effective they were. Half the stadium that did use them (the areas that don't normally make much noise) made some noise today.

I'd rather have them clapping away with them, than silence.

From my lofty view in the North Stand it was good to see the whole stadium using them in unison.

It made a change for a change.

I was cynical to start with, but they turned out well. They helped create a party atmosphere before kick off.

There were times when it looked to me, perched right at the back of Y24, that the whole stadium were using them, and in unison!

Pity they are needed but like others say, better than silence.

They seemed to work quite well (well done STAR)

More pi55ed off with missing half of the game due to the "playtime" bell being rung ten ninutes prior to the end of each half.

Kids chewing on hotdogs and slurping coke milling around on the terraces blocking the view of the game

In the Upper West, one seat in 3 had them. Personally, I despise such gimmicks. However, I thought that they helped to create a brilliant atmosphere. In fact, #13 could not be faulted today. Turned up in force and were loud and proud. If only the players had the belief that we had.

It was refreshing to see a total sell out. Nothing like the Morgue someone posted earlier and thankfully no booing.

I'm just going to say that even though we lost today, I think the clapper idea was a good one. When I went into the stadium an hour before kick-off people were already using them and making a good amount of noise which led to some of the chants and raised voices and contributed to a great atmosphere, the best I've ever experienced anyway.

Also liked the fact that the words to some songs were printed on them. Would have been nice if we'd sung them all though.

Shame they're only for one-off use, mine's knackered.

It basically sounded like 20.000 fanny farts TBF. Oh and mine gad been stolen before I got to my seat, so I expect STAR to hand over the cash as compensation

Personally I thought they'd be a bad idea and I've not changed my mind. I truly believe that the fans would have got behind them today regardless but with some good old-fashioned clapping rather than the simulated crap we heard today. And, as expected, most of the second half I was surrounded by kids hitting each other over the head with them. Splendid

Pity No 13 didn't turn up in force in our previous few home games.
