roundabout at the bottom of the hill behind the south stand

STAR

this roundabout is becoming more and more of a problem with "private taxis" waiting to come up the hill toward the hotel blocking the roundabout

this means nothing can move, the stage coach buses can't get off the round about, the park and ride buses can't get onto the roundabout from the A33 to pick people up

the "stewards" just stand at the barrier and watch as nothing moves

can this be reviewed with the club/stewards/police for next season, perhaps preventing traffic sitting on the roundabout but being sent down to costco or back toward the a33

There is nothing the club can do about it as it is a public road. It now happens because the club has responded to all the comments received about cars on the stadium roads when the pedestrians are leaving and so these taxis are prevented from coming up the hill. The people to change matters are the police or RBC traffic wardens as the club stewards have no authority beyond the bottom of the hill - hence there is nothing they can do to get the traffic moving.

I will pass it on to the club to see if they can get the relevant authorities to act though.

you would think the traffic wardens would love the extra income, tho if they are there the cars will move, then, no income, so the wardens will stop coming, its great eh??

with traffic coming down both sides of the road at the other end of the stadium i would have hoped that keeping a clear access for emergency vehicles to the stadium from the back of the south stand would be a priority for the police

Sounds like a contradiction.

Why don't the buses just park there instead? That way they will have a clear run out.
