When I did fire warden training a few years ago they showed us some of the unreleased footage of the Bradford fire.
It starts with a few wisps of smoke and a couple of small flames, and people are actually standing around it laughing and pointing. Then it spreads literally faster than people can run away from it, and within just 2-3 minutes the whole stand is ablaze.

This was the main stand that burnt down - all seated.
The irony is that Bradford had won the league in great style, and this was the last match of the season - so there was a capacity crowd for the celebration.
