Oh, I'll try and find out what I can. I was hoping we'd go in for Lee Croft.

Yeah same, good player, SSN says he won't be at Norwich next season!

Derby bound apparently.

Deathy Croft isn't crap at all.

Really? How many times would you say you've seen him play?

Three times at Carrow Rd this season when visiting family. How about yourself?

He's very highly regarded at Norwich.

About 20 times. He can't cross and is woeful in front of goal. His main skill is pressuring his full back and running a long way up the wing with the ball to no effect which is why he would catch the eye if you didn't know much about football.

You're right that he's populare at Norwich, he won the player of the year trophy, but most Norwich fans with a brain would agree with my assessment.

I work with Norwich season ticket holders and they all concur with my view.

LOL at you LOLing. I don't claim to know more about him than anyone. I know we haven't approached Norwich for him, and I know, or am told rather, that he is Derby bound. The fact you claim he is crap is just pure ignorance. Perhaps you should have seen more of Kebe and Hunt than Croft this season?
Croft is an excellent player with a lot of promise. If you want pure quality with no faults, that'll set you back around £40,000,000. Ta

We were actually talking about Reading being interested in Clingan, not Croft, and I am well aware he is going to Derby.

Croft is not an excellent player. He can't cross, which is pretty vital for a winger. He also can't hit a barn door with a banjo. Pretty big faults.

Both players have been discussed. Stop your fecking whining ffs! Why you're involved with carrots and not scouting for footballers I'll never know.

Fair play Deathy you are welcome to an opinion, but I quite strongly disagree with it. Croft often flatters to deceive - bar the (very) rare wondergoal, his shooting is atrocious and his crossing poor. If you had watched any of Norwich's final third of the season you would have noticed how important Clingan was to them - as for Croft, hmmm was he playing?

What? He's a winger, and? You never rated Gilkesy because of his goalscoring record?

Gilkes scored 52 goals in 400 odd appearances for Reading which is a better ratio than Croft, but that's not really the point. Gilkes was considerably quicker than Croft and brought more to the party in terms of assists I would imagine.

Take if from The Rouge, he knows his stuff. I would say Croft was about the standard of Michael Meaker.

Gilkes was pacey, but his crossing was more often woeful than reliable. But the way he knocked the ball past his marker and beat him down the left was a joy to behold. Gilkes wasn't as great as many think, but he was a favourite for the way he beat his man and he was exciting, as well as frustrating.

You make him sound like Jimmy Kebe, Deathy.

Lol @ 23, 000 Norwich fans agreeing with him, but still voting him player of the season. Probably why they got relegated.
