Derby County manager Nigel Clough has appointed former Nottingham Forest and Netherlands international midfielder Johnny Metgod to his coaching staff.
Metgod, a former Forest team-mate of Clough's, has been brought in as part of a major overhaul of the club's academy and coaching set-up.
The 50-year-old was first-team coach at Portsmouth this season but left when boss Tony Adams was sacked in February.
He is expected to work with the first team and the academy at Pride Park.
Metgod has also had successful coaching spells with Dutch sides Feyenoord and Excelsior.
