Just another poor showing from a terrible set of supporters.

Their ignorance is on a par with reading fans wanting rid of coppell. 3 titles in 3 years, 4 points off a 4th and thats not good enough :lol: :lol: :lol:

Obviously not in a 2 horse race! Had to laugh when I learnt that Rangers have won their 52nd title. I bet you wish that you could have a more honest competition.

Arsenal and Chelsea. That's one more than Scotland and you don't have to go much further back to find a fourth and fifth. And it was fairly close this season for another being added.

But is it always the same teams involved? Wasn't so long ago that Villa, Newcastle and even Norwich were pushing for major honours. The Man City billions should make some sort of impact next season and if Sunderland really do have in the region of £200m to spunk it could make for interesting watching.

Blackburn in 1995. Leeds in 1992. Liverpool in 1990.

When was the last time a team other than Rangers or Celtic won the Scottish Championship?

Answering my own question by using soccerbase.com: 1985, when Aberdeen won it. That's nearly 25 years of Celtic and Rangers dominating Scottish football. How oxf*rd boring.

Yeah, and Ian said you don't have to go back much further to find a 4th and 5th - I provided a 6th. :roll:

And then, going much further back to 1985, we also have Everton.

So, since 1985:

Scotland = 3 champions: Aberdeen, Rangers and Celtic.
England = 7 champions: Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Blackburn, Leeds, Liverpool and Everton.

But England is catching up with Scotland in terms of domination by a limited number of clubs - just as it's now unthinkable that another Scottish club will challenge the Old irm, its just as unthinkable that anyone other than one of the Big 4 will win the PL title - Champions League money helps see to that.

Interestingly, the PL has never been won by a team that didn't finish in the top two the previous season. On that basis, Man Utd or Liverpool next season.

We're talking about English champions. Would you agree that winning the PL = English champions? :roll:

BTW, just had a look on wikipedia, the total number of different champions since both leagues came into existence:

England = 23 different champions.
Scotland = 11 different champions.

What does this tell you?
