I was about to say that - the Golden Boot covers all of Europe. Would have been genuinely surprised if 19 goals was enough, given that usually its 25+ goals that wins it.

Mr biscuit - any chance of showing the top 20?

2 Samuel Eto'o Barcelona (Spa) 29 2 58
3 Diego Forlan Villarreal (Spa) 28 2 56
4 Grafite Wolfsburg (Ger) 26 2 52
5= David Villa Valencia (Spa) 25 2 50

12 Patrick Helmes Bayer Leverkusem (Ger) 21 2 42
13= Gonzalo Higuain Real Madrid (Spa) 20 2 40
13= Diego Milito Genoa (Ita) 20 2 40
15 Kris Boyd Rangers (Sco) 26 1.5 39
16= Thierry Henry Barcelona (Spa) 19 2 38
16= Alvaro Negredo Almeria (Spa) 19 2 38
16= Alberto Gilardino Fiorentina (Ita) 19 2 38
19= Vedat Ibisevic 1899 Hoffenheim (Ger) 18 2 36
19= Raul Real Madrid (Spa) 18 2 36
19= Cristiano Ronaldo Man United (Eng) 18 2 36
19= Nicolas Anelka Chelsea (Eng) 18 2 36
19= Frédéric Kanouté Sevilla (Spa) 18 2 36
19=Erwin Hoffer Rapid Vienna (Aus) 24 1.5 36

Forlan scored 3 at the weekend and Janko none so I believe it puts Forlan on 62 points. Last game in the Austrian season is on Sunday where Salzburg are at home to the bottom side, Janko needs to get a hat-track to take it away from Forlan.

Good point, top maths from me. Though that was before the final game so he may have moved up or down since then. Reckon after Austria is done this weekend we will see UEFA announce final standings as they will be handing Forlan or Janko the prize.

Points per goal? Is this the egg chasing/aussie rules table?

:lol:

Nope - it's to make it harder for strikers from minor leagues to win the trophy.

Didn't he score his 18 goals in about 20 games and then get brutalised by some German defender who thought hostilities hadn't ended.

'Red Bull Salzburg'? My word, that's a disgrace.

Iirc, the two Wolfsburg strikers have about 80 goals between them in all competitions this season.

Red Bull also sponsor New York Red Bulls in the MLS and some team in Brasil that you or I have never heard of.

Without dropping the usual CheLOLsea-style post:

Fair play. I certainly wouldn't have put him amongst the favourites at the start of the season and he's been pretty consistent across the front 3.

I wasn't aware there was a Premier League Golden Boot Award.

Obviously acknowleging the Premier League Topscorer is worth doing. Well done to Anelka.
