Chaney lucky against Bayern, lucky against Chelsea, tonight Uniteds luck ran out .

I'm guessing you didn't watch the Bayern game - the game they won 5-1 on agg :?

He's talking about Utd in the last 2 finals they've been in. Not Barca this season. :?

Whore Jackie Suspect that Man United will absolutely cruise this. Their key players have hit form to add strength to their already winning mentality this season. Their only slight weakness is in goal.

Yet to see Messi do much on the big stage and he’ll be up against one of the best full-backs in the world. Apart from the fantastic Iniesta and Xavi, not overly impressed with Barca. The fact they’re cruising to the title, suggests that La Liga has even less strength in depth than the PL.

United to win by two clear goals.

 Wrong on almost every count. All the talk about Barca's absentees and the biggest loss was Darren Fletcher. Not seen United outplayed to that extent for years.

Well, I don't know if Barca were absolutely magnificent or United were appaling. i'm erring towards the latter but either way the net result was men against boys, with particular FAILs handed out to the United midfield, did Carrick keep the ball once? As for bringing Scholes on, he's not going to shore things up if he gets sent off for his first tackle is he? Best team won, nice to see Fergie with a touch of humility in the post match analysis.

It was a moth, and he tried to pick it off but left a bit of moth dust behind.

Fat lot of good HD has done for you.

Fine when they are bullying sides at home like West Brom,Stoke or 'Boro but when big teams teams stand up to them like Chelsea,Liverpool or Barcelona they bottle it.
It could have been even more embarrassing and they weren't even playing Barcelona's full side.
For those that say Rooney is England's best player and he will lead us to World Cup glory-think again.
Well played Barcelona,a thoroughly deserved victory and a team that plays with some style so tonight football was the winner and my 3/1 of some months ago now looks to have been a steal.

I think he is talking about the final 10 years ago when having been outplayed they scored two at the death from corners.

SLAMMED Well 56% of us were wrong, me being one of them.

LOL @ the people who voted for Barcelona after the game had finished

Just after the game finished, the votes were:

Man United: 56%
Barcelona: 44%.

Now look at them :|

People think they are clever for voting Barcelona after they already won

Has Fergie gone into orbit or will he spontaneously combust?

Utd beat Barca last time they played, have regularly beat Liverpool and Chelsea in recent seasons so not sure about bottling it...

The game tonight reminded me a lot of the Spain v England friendly. Both teams obviously have quality all over, but the difference was in the centre of midfield. Tonight showed the difference in class, Xavi and Iniesta knocked about the ball so neatly, so composed and got forward a fair bit, while Carrick, Giggs and Anderson seemed to be chasing shadows all night. People will go on about Messi, but IMO its clear Xavi and Iniesta were the true stars for Barca.

I was saying the same thing in a Manc pub tonight. Glad that someone agrees with me.

Xavi and Iniesta both completed over 90% of their passes tonight; its a simple lesson at any level of football - when you have the ball, don't give it away cheaply.

I thought Man Utd gave Barcelona far too much respect; I expected to see some closing down, defending from the front, something - ANYTHING that suggested we weren't watching a Barcelona training session after the first goal.

Man Utd got a European footballing masteclass tonight, and, as has been said, fair play to Fergie for acknowledging it with class and grace.

Ferguson's Plan A seemed to be to hit them with all guns blazing, which nearly worked in the 1st 10 minutes. The problem was that when Barcelona scored 1st the Man Utd players seemed to suffer from a collective inferiority complex from then on and just couldn't adapt to whatever Plan B (assuming he had one) Ferguson wanted to implement.

I know Vidic came in for some stick but just how poor were Rooney and Giggs tonight?

Giggs doesn't have the legs to do it in the top games nowadays, so it was no suprise to see Man Utd struggle in the middle tonight. Never thought I'd say this, but they really missed Fletcher.

Rooney is NOT a winger, no matter how hard Sir Al tries to convince himself. Ronaldo offered eff all up front. Should have swapped roles 10 minuted in.
