So do you ignore everything about Middlesborough prior to 1986?
But Middlesbrough didn't drop out of the League, so technically they must have been the same club, even if the parent company changed.

Boro never folded though
Aldershot went out of business in 1992 and dropped 5 or 6 divisions when they re-formed
