Which is greater, winning the Championship or the League Cup

Harold has laughed off my suggestion that the Championship is a greater prize than the League Cup. I think it is, because it shows that you've won a trophy on your way to promotion to the top flight and therefore riches. The League Cup? Does it even guarantee entry to Europe and what is the prize in terms of money?

If I had a choice of winning the championship or winning the league cup, right now i'd be tempted to go for the league cup as it would be unique in the club's history.
From the above comments, I guess that puts me in the minority.

Championship is more difficult to win, but nobody cares who wins either of them so it doesn't really matter.

We can go up with out being champions, we can't win the cup without winning the cup.

Championship is nice to win but honestly, no-one gives a sh1t whether you're first or second, as long as you go up
League Cup you have to win if you get there, no prize for not winning that.
Its a major cup competition, of course it would be better (in terms of rewards and recognition) to win it
