Best League in the World

by boy1985 » 11 Jun 2009 10:58

Now it looks like top 3 players in the world are all gong to be in spain next season (not to mention Xavi and Iniesta) I'd have to say La Liga is no.1 now.

Best for whom?

Players and agents, TV audiences, match-going supporters, Bentley showrooms?

That's the thing, a bit like the Championship you would have a rough idea who the league winner may be but nothing is certain. Wolfsburg have been one of the weaker teams for years but they won it this year, Hoffenheim have done well for a lager. YOu have packed big stadiums at Munich, Dortmund, Shalke and Hamburg.

If you want pure football then Spain is the place to go, if you want corruption thenItaly is your place, fast but crap football with half the league as cannon fodder to 4 teams, England,or a competitive even championship, Germany.

I have a blue and white hooped Hertha shirt from a few years ago, but I don't think they wear hoops any more.

I support Racing de Paris because they wear (sky) blue and white hoops, too.

Stripes now. And that's probably the closest. Otherwise, there is Armenia Bielefeld who have just been relegated ..

I know you're looking for a team to support (vaguely) next season. Choose 1.FCN and I'll send you a scarf.

Bundesliga is by far the most entertaining, apart from the Welsh Premier

Just like us they got relegated two years ago from the top division. I saw them play 1860 Munchen in September and played against them when I was 12 in a tournament in Dusseldorf.

Has to be Spain now home of the European champions, Champions league winners and now the top 3 players in the world play there.
Ronaldo, Kaka and Messi. And the top clubs all have a fair portion of Spanish players in there teams unlike our big four.

I'm sure goalkeepers and defenders would have something to say about that. I would state that they are the three best attacking players in the world...

I wonder if that has anything to do with them being the team we played in the 50s (live on TV) when our floodlights were first used?
