This could help change the way in which football fans are dealt with.

There's about 70 others awaiting compensation in this case, plus 30 or so in a case with South Yorkshire Police.

Lyndon was just the test case.

good old GMP

I do not condone the behaviour of the Rangers fans but when we see judgements like this when can we review GMPs role in the street battles at the UEFA Cup Final

Although the OB are out of order in this case how is that compo figure decided?

I'd like to know that too. I'm guessing the breakdown is something like:

match ticket = £40
travel costs = £20 (can't be much since Stoke isn't far from Manchester, unless he didn't come from Stoke)
Distress caused by missing the game = £?
Distress caused by police abuse = £?
Legal fees for case = £?

Or something like that???? :|
