The whole year inn I find books written by the lesser-known/lower league players to be far more interesting than autobiographes by Roy Keane, Wayne Rooney or Alan Shearer.

papereyes the two chapters about his time at RFC are pretty interesting reading. There's little digs and some interesting insight into the approaches taken by Bullivant, Burns and Pardew, not to mention the club as a whole.

Thaumagurist* I've just read the synopsis on amazon:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Linvoy-Primus-T ... 678&sr=1-1
Sounds too pro Portsmouth, I'm rather reluctant to read about that club.

How enlightened and open-minded of you ......![]()
Do you really think postings like this make you sound anything other than a small-minded bigot?
Portsmouth supporters regard Linvoy in much the same way that we regard Parky or Murts - why would his autobiography not be mainly about the club where he has spent the vast majority of his career and achieved his biggest successes?

I think the whole idea is you go out and either buy or borrow the book, and read it yourself...
Sounds too pro Portsmouth, I'm rather reluctant to read about that club.

Unlikely - he'd have to find a Reading supporting woman who's never left the country and doesn't speak any foreign languages.
