2009/10 Season Bets

by Tredder » 27 Jul 2009 13:02

My traditional e/w yankee will consist of:

Liverpool
West Brom
Leeds
Bury

Plus a single e/w on Staines in the Conf South, 33/1 with the magic sign.

and a final yankee

Aston Villa to be top 6
QPR to win group betting (QPR, Derby, Swansea, Cardiff, Preston and Leicester)
Leyton Orient on the handicap (+33)
Macclesfield to be relegated.

I fancy that one and Accrington as the other one. Chelsea for the Prem this year, WBA yep, Leeds maybe altho Charlton should do quite well aswell, Notts County for L2 but Bury isn't a bad shout, they should have smashed Shrewsbury last year.

BSP Salisbury or Ebbsfleet maybe both to go down. Luton for the league.

I'm not convinced that just because Sven is there that Notts County can suddenly develop into a league winning side, they are favourites now.

If i could have a bet that was for losing in a play off final, then i'd lump on.

Was talking to someone about H&R at the weekend and he reckons that their source of ready finance on-demand has just about run out, so could be a hard season for them.

Coincidentally, I was at AFC Wimbledon's match on Saturday, and walking up to the ground I saw the sign "Next fixture : H v Luton Town." My immediate reaction was to think "they did well to get them in a friendly..." until reality kicked in and I realised it's their first league match of the season in the Conference! How things have changed in just a few years.

Just signed Lee Hughes and threatening to spend a bit of dosh for that league. Money men behind the club will give them an advantage over everyone.

Burton struggled to get over the finishing line last season after Nigel Clough left for Derby and had to wait until the final day to secure promotion. Unknown quantity now in Peschisolido so could be in for a relegation fight.

Guessing there might be some half decent odds on Pompey to go down at the moment.

Pompey were 5/1, might not be now.

Thing is with backing that is there is only 1 relegation place available with Burnely and Hull being cannon fodder this season.
