Why did the idiots in charge of the car park have the gates locked shut after the game (exit onto the Basingstoke Road)?

Indeed it was. As there was a carload it was cost effective.

I'm guessing they were under instruction from RBC or the TVP to only allow cars to leave out the back of the car park nearest to the motorway.

That's the one that was locked. The bloke who parked beside me asked on parking if the gates would be open after the game. The yellow jacketed numpties confirmed that they were. He was not happy! He was driving back to Nottingham to start a night shft!
