Sun Tzu These things became over done a long time ago and whilst I would not in the slightest begrudge Sir Bobby the recognition he deserves I also would have found it embarrassing if it had been repeated.

It's quite simple imho.
MInute's silence/applause should be reserved for:
ex-players
dignitaries of the club (chairmen, vice-presidents etc)
selected "long servants" of the club
England managers
England captains
