Yep - I live in Gosport and work near Fareham...to be honest I am one of the first to smirk at their predicament.

I've always hated PFC long before I ever moved down here, and have found so many of their fans to be cocky chav bastards that my hatred is now more blinkered than ever. Not that I want to see any club drop out of existence.

I just can't help it though.

Crouch - 11m
Muntari -15m
johnson 17m

Well if what was reported recently is correct, Pompey could be in administration shortly if Fahim pulls out. LOL

Under Redknapp they did.

My understanding is that they owe a pretty hefty sum to a bank and the bank, due to other issues, want the majority of it back ASAP.

West Ham - shafted
Southampton - shafted
Portsmouth - shafted

Harry Redknapp - an absolute charlatan

Redknapp has based his entire managerial career around buying excessively!

In a year or two's time after he leaves, quite probably.

Bournemouth, no idea, but I'm pretty sure they were in dire straights for a while a few years back.

Overspending is not Redknapp's fault surely?

Nor is his uncanny ability to time his departures well. He comes in, does a job, generally successfully on the playing side, spends someone else's money in large lumps, then gets out when it becomes apparent that the money is drying up. How much money was made available has never been his responsibility.

Why is he? He picks players he wants and the club (chairman, DoF, chief Exec...) do the deals.
Redknapp - Very good manager.

The only clubs in the Football League facing financial difficulties are, of course, those previously 'managed' by dear old 'Arry

You might be talking sense here, but surely the chairman/board can only spend the money on what players the manager recommends them to sign. If he's always going for players who are likely to be on a fair whack, then something's not right here, is it? Added to the fact that he seems to have his favourites, he keeps buying Crouch, doesn't he?

The locals are no longer laughing at the Scummers down the M27. Living in Portsmouth and working in Southampton sure is fun at the moment.

Don't have an awful lot of choice if that's what your manager wants, the manager your fans are backing and you brought in to do well.

And is Redknapp's tendency to buy the same few players a lot anything to do with agents rather than the players?

Redknapp is a rat. At best he just has an uncanny ability to spot a sinking ship (he just happens to be running it at the time) at worst he's dirty.

That's fairly bad news isn't it...never mind.

Talking Premier do you think the Blues of Chelsea will be able to outgun those Red Devils this season?

Saw FCUM at Colwyn Bay at the weekend...their fans had a great song about not working for Sky anymore.
