Ferdinand was off the pace at the weekend in the Chelski match. Didn't look match fit at all.

That was just abysmal and hes done it twice as well. No excuse for being completely casual and presenting them a goal like that.

Rooneys playing crap as well.

if you don't pay attention you aren't going to win anything, what has been a good performance is being ruined again by lack of concentration around top quality players.

And Gareth is of the same mind as Rio about friendlies. Excuse will be, of course, that its still preseason and players are back to full match fitness yet (of course Holland have been back and playing for weeks  ).

2-1 Defoe

Heskey, Becks and Barry off. Defoe, SWP and Carrick on

Good strike from Defoe, will it be a turn around?

I was talking about cole, but milner has made a really good impression. Good technical player i like him. Cole though- really impressed, held the ball up well and looks sharp. Wright-phillips looking average at best though.

Should I have said "I echo your previous comments but insert Milner where you initially stated cole"?

Milner's first cap there. Looked really up for it.

Won't be his last.

Glen Johnson always looks mistake prone.
