Scoreboard Replays of us conceding!

by Forbury Lion » 22 Aug 2009 20:06

How many replays of Sheffield United scoring against us do we need? I counted three or four replays of one goal and each time the replay went in the opposition cheered.

I'm prepared to accept one replay directly after but no more.... Happy to see any Reading goals that might be scored replayed to death though.

I think it is good to see the replays - I didn't believe my eyes for the second, but Fed really did mess up as badly as it seemed! And just after I had remarked that his efforts so far made him an early front runner for player of the season

I believe it to be totally wrong to show replays of anything detrimental to the Royals, be it opposition goals, penalty misses by the Royals (including saves by oppositions keepers) etc. I also think it to be wrong for the PA announcer to announce who opposition goal scorers were.

Main game on the Championship highlights and s**t happens.

Don't like it, don't watch it but i prefer the replays and it's not often we'll get them this season.

At least we get the chance to see a replay of a goal the Mad Stad.

Can you not count properly as you are still unsure if it was 3 or 4 replays?

Totally agree. Another example of the Crazy Man's insistence on turning us into a middle class enclave. This eradication of working class rights must end.

Your the cock pal! showing replays of any opposition goals, announcements of opposition goals etc. just encourages the away fans to cheer louder and 'up' the noise level, which in turn totally encourages the away team to 'get their tails up' and put in a good performance. I've yet to go to an away ground that has afforded us the same hospitality.

I get the feeling that the PA and his cronies (and Ian royal) don't have a clue about football, the psychology of football, nor the importance of a home win. I think that they view the whole game as 'jolly good fun' a bit of a 'family day out' along the lines of a medieval jousting contest at Littlecote House where no one give a donald about who wins.

I just watch the whole game from the concourse so I don't have to worry about things like this.

I want to be able to see the opposition goals so I can see what went wrong. I hate the stupid and childish bias shown in not announcing the opposition goalscorer, or replaying the opposition goal. They're going to celebrate their goal anyway, showing it once or twice afterwards is going to have little impact. They're going to make noise anyway.

I want to see the whole game, not just the bits where we do well.

You also seen to forget there are supporters out there who wish to mark the back of the programmes with players on pitch, goal scorers, ect.....

Rubbing salt into the wound could act as reverse psychology. Both to the team and our support. To retort that opposition supporters cheer on replays is laughable.

I know it would rile me, if the home team got replays and we didn't.

I don't like playing music after home goals but not away goals either. Mind you I don't like playing music after goals full stop.
