A few ideas for the Stadium Announcers/Match day planners

by Winchester Royal » 24 Aug 2009 23:41

In an effort to utilise the ear-busting speaker system installed at the ground, and improve the matchday enjoyment for the plebs and the children, why not introduce some of the following ideas?

1- Music when we win a corner. Perhaps a drumbeat or something. Or maybe some RNB. Or Ashes.

2- When we get a throw in, why not show a photo of the lion on the kids screen. The kids like the lion.

3- Perhaps constantly have the scoreboard clock counting down from 10. The kids like counting down from ten, in unison. Perhaps they can do this all game?

4- When there's a lull in the tremendous atmosphere at the ground, it would be a good idea to replay the announcement at the start of the game. "Back the boys and make some noise. Come on you RRRRRS". Preferably the feedback-inducing version that the 7 year old kid produced at the Sheffield United game.

5- Why not get a few more lions. The kids like the Lion, and there's only one of them to go round.

6- A McDonalds in the lower west would ensure that every kid would have a toy to play with during the game. This would prevent them getting bored and kicking the seat of the person in front?

7- To follow this up, perhaps introduce some Reading FC themed happy meal toys. Like small versions of the lion. The kids like the lion.

8- If the team are losing the game by more than one goal, perhaps give them all a copy of the lions head to play in. That way, the kids get to see lions play football. The kids like the lion.

9- Maybe a playground should be built outside the East Stand. There's plenty of room and some swings would be welcome, for the kids.

10- The kids like the lion. Why not give him a playing contract?

Let me know what you think.

Lovely stuff there.

Can we keep the kid who did the pre 2nd half "Back the boys". Bar our goal, that produced the most noise of the afternoon! Good Lad!

I remember Wycombe played some kind of Music every time they had a corner or free kick

Too late, he's just been snapped up by Portsmouth.

Winchester Royal 5- Why not get a few more lions. The kids like the Lion, and there's only one of them to go round.
Why not have a few more different animals and have a performance of Lion King the musical at half time.

Only for the idea of having a McDonalds in the ground though.

Do nothing at all.

It would be a bit like Elm Park, where the fans generate their own atmosphere before and during the game. It would be more like a football match and less like a theme park.

With crowds of 4,000???

Who is the cock who does the team announcements while the players are warming up? He sounds almost human when doing the away team but then he goes completely mental with the screaching and decibels when reading our team out. WHY???

Because he's trying to encourage us to get excited?

Not saying it's necessary, just that that is what he is doing.

I heard that the kids do get a bit bored during games. Davies and Karacan that is.
