LoyalRoyalFan But nobody better to make that through ball or to change games.

Gylfi Sigurdsson might have something to say about that after his beautiful throw ball yesterday!

Was it deliberate ? If so, why wasn't he booked for deliberate handball ?

I have always been a massive fan of MM, but if the manager doesnt fancy him to fit in, for whatever reason, and if his wages are higher than everybody else (quite likely) then he has to go.

Exactly the same applies with Harper.

Except that was not what Rodgers said at the Fans Forum apparently. Why did Rodgers bother wasting his breath.

Another one of your questions that no-one on here can possibly answer!

I just find it odd that having been specifically asked the question, he gave an answer which would appear to be at odds with the current situation. Just thinking aloud.

Matejovsky is the most technically gifted player at the club and is also the player who uses the least of his ability when he plays.

He would not be any big loss based on his performances for us.

What was the answer he gave? If you say, I may be able to apply my massive analytical intellect to it and deduce the answer.

Tend to agree with that RR wages would appear to be the driving fator at the moment, and of course the fact that we might have unearthed a gem in sigy ?

And I would be surprised if anyone disagreed with this statement. Something, somewhere just does not add up as far as MM is concerned.

I think the incident with his national team may say more than a little about it. I think he's another nearly man over here. Like Bikey. Undoubtedly talented, but witha little something missing that prevents him being a big success.

For Bikey it was temperament and concentration, for Marek it is athleticism and casualness. He needn't give the ball away as easily and needlessly as he often does, but it happens anyway.

I liked both of those players a hell of a lot, and they could have been very special for us. But having seen them both over the last couple of seasons, I can't say I'm particularly upset by the prospect of losing either.

He said he would figure in his plans this season.

There are a lot of times when Marek gives the ball away but only because he tries to play the right ball, but others don't make the right runs. I know he's a bit casual sometimes but I think that comes from playing at a higher level where it's easier to find a team-mate.

The team matters more than one individual - ergo, if the team don't have the capability of functioning at thier best with one individual, then it's the individual that needs changing, not the whole team ethic.

Having said that, we have changed nearly the whole team in the last year.

and unfortunately, MM has not adapted his game to accomodate any of them.

From his substitute debut (v Villa in a 1-3 defeat....when I thought he was awesome) he has given 20% to the team ......... and yet has somehow managed to give away 90% to the opposition.

A Wrong-un poor signing from Sir Steve (bearing in mind we were signing a Premiership quality player)

Sorry

Fairwell, Good riddance and good luck Marek

No one minds him giving the ball away with clever through balls that don't quite work. Eventually they'll start paying off. It's the stupid, simple passes under little or no pressure that should be straight to a hooped shirt, but aren't that annoy people.

And unfortunately he makes far too many of them. Several a game usually.

The deadline for most European countries passed yesterday and so they can no longer bring players in. However, the deadline was extended for the UK due to the Bank Holiday. As a result, UK clubs are allowed to bring players IN from abroad, but no players from the UK will be going OUT to European clubs.

Apparently!

Sparta Prague are close to admitting defeat in their efforts to sign Marek Matejovsky from Reading.

The 27-year-old international is yet to feature in the league for Reading this season.

Sparta are now keen to take Matejovsky back to his native Czech Republic - but Reading do not seem keen on striking a deal.

"Reading don't like the possibility of releasing Matejovsky
," Sparta director Jakub Otava told CTK.

"Hope has not died yet, we are still be trying to reach an agreement although it is not very likely that a deal will be made."

Nice to hear. Once he's back to full fitness he should get a look in.

That could just be us driving a hard bargain.

He is the creative influence we need in that side though. But as said, he needs a run of 10 games. Get fit, get familiar with the team.
