It only weakens the side by adding the token Welsh, N'Ireland and Scotsmen. (Rep Ireland are alright tho')

-------------------- Given --------------------

Hutton ---- Ferdinand ----- Terry ---- Cole

Beckham -- S.Brown -- Gerrard -- Ramsey

----------- R.Keane ----- Rooney -----------

Northern Ireland token chap on bench. :|

I think Robbie Keane would get in.....he's better than Heskey, Crouch, Cole and is probably on par with Defoe

Keane is too similar to Rooney for me to stand out, don't think the two of them together would work particuarly well

No Scots, N'Ireland or Welsh. Good boy!

And Ireland is 'retired' from international football until he changes his mind.

If you'd found room for any of:
Duncan Edwards
Tom Finney
Johnny Haynes
John Charles
Ivor Allchurch
Danny Blanchflower
Billy Bremner
Dennis Law
Kenny Dalgeish
Alan Rough

I'd have approved.

Including Joe Jordan ahead of Law and Charles is a hearty LOL.

So why did you pick two Scots then?

For the record, I think Hutton would get in on his own merits, a good an attacking full back that can actually defend and read the game.
