Burger and chips in the same tray

by EPR » 16 Sep 2009 22:46

Useless burger vans.

They sell a burger OR chips.

If you want a burger AND chips, eating both whilst at the same thumbling for your season ticket in order to get in to the ground, the you BETTER BE ABLE TO JUGGLE.

How much is it for a burger and chips these days? Last I took any notice it was £3.30 just for the burger

Best part of a tenner for both.

Which I would not object to paying if it was served in a convenient format, but balancing one on top of the other I mean FFS.

That's nothing compared with the new outrage of ketchup in sachets - with nowhere to put a plastic tray of chips down how are you meant to open a sachet of ketchup one-handed?

Bring back ketchup in squeezy bottles!

Alternative - take a 5 minute walk to McDonalds and spend little more than £3.00 on a Big Mac, fries, AND a drink.

Or just have a meal at lunchtime before leaving and another when you get home in the evening.

I get through most afternoons without stuffing a burger and chips down my gullet, why should a saturday afternoon be any different?

And I'm pretty certain that the last time I bought burger and chips at the stadium (which was against Doncaster) I got charged less than £5, hence why I said "it isn't that expensive".

Me and my old man got a hot dog, burger and chips for £9.50 last night.

Prices are bordering on stupid but then we keep paying them...

If only! Some of us leave the house before 10am to get to a match.

Then I'm guessing you pass a multitude of places that do nicer food for less money than the glorified kebab vans outside the mad stad.
