It's good to see the TO is sharpening up a little now. The only times i have ever had a real mix up was my Bolton tickets when i bought a single ticket, decided to swap this so my daughter could sit with me. No problem there until 3 extra tickets arrived through the post. I always now pick my tickets up from the TO as a fail safe. The other time i really had an issue was the recorded delivery on the Preston ticket last season that went missing in the post. I think that cost £5 for the recorded delivery. As with you Somerset i was refunded and given another ticket.

Royal Mail only actually bother doing roughly half the recorded mail deliveries properly. It's totally dependent on whether the postie can be arsed or not.

North Somerset Royal Still the good news is that I called in at the TO before the game last night and whilst I had to pay again for new tickets they kindly agreed to refund the cost of the originals bought on line if when they eventually turn up I return them intact.

Now, why don't the club follow this up and PUBLICISE this???

The other issue i feel uncomfortable about is the club crest stamped on the envelope. It's an open season for dishonestly. It may be a harsh judgement and more of a perception on my behalf though.

The guy who served me originally just said that I would have to pay again. However another supporter waiting at the next window overheard and said that surely the club had to make allowances for the postal strike. The guy serving me then then went and got a manager who said they would refund the originals if they are returned intact. I think therefore its not a set policy but rather an ad hoc decision made by the manager on the day. Of course there is the possibility that they will never arrive in which case I am stuffed.

I have often thought that its inviting any local City and Rovers diehards in the sorting office to bin it.

Because it encourages people to try and take the piss? It's probably not a written policy, but a goodwill gesture based on individual circumstances. Can't publicise those.
