If they merged all the clubs in Scotland they still wouldn't be any good.

You say that with such arrogance, yet forget the main reasons the EPL is any good is money and foreigners. Pump that back into the spl and players like laudrup, albertz, larsson, the de boer's,etc will all be back at the two of the biggest and best supported clubs in the world.

Thats fine, give it 7 years and rangers will be pushing the smaller clubs like villa, everton, tottenham, man city,etc out of the way.

id imagine it be more like 15 years to get up the league system. either way i doubt it would happen and if it did it would be a grave injustice to all the other league members and nonleague members alike if they were fast tracked up the league. i would rather have the two leagues integrated if they were going down that path. then again maybe they wouldn't like starting the league season for 50 point deduction because they can't control their supporters
