England will play Brazil in an away international friendly on Saturday 14 November 2009.
England will play Brazil in their final match of 2009, with Fabio Capello's side taking on the Confederation Cup winners in Qatar in November.
With both teams having qualified for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South AfricaTM the friendly will be played on the first of two dates set aside in the international calendar for World Cup playoffs.
The match will take place on Saturday 14 November in the Qatari capital Doha, in a rematch of the first England game at Wembley in 2007. The arrangement that saw Brazil face England in their opening game at the new Wembley stadium two years ago included the contractual obligation to play the reverse match within three years.
Under Fabio Capello, England also continue to use their friendly internationals as opportunities to play the very best teams in world football, with Brazil currently ranked number one in the world.
Having faced Holland in August, third in the latest FIFA rankings, England also faced Spain and Germany at the turn of last year, with those teams ranked number one and two in the world at the time.
Capello said: "To play a team like Brazil will be an important moment for us, we can understand more about ourselves and the level we must reach by playing the best teams.
"We have played Spain, Holland, Germany and France, some of the best teams in the world. In each of these games we have also played away from home which is important before South Africa.
"One of the benefits of securing qualification against Croatia is that we can start to plan for the World Cup, and this match is one part of our plans."
