Dirk Gently It's 8 points deduction in the PL. Calculated as being roughly the same as the FL "sporting sanctions" but scaled down because they play fewer matches.

But they have to go into administration first to get the deduction

Could the PL make the problem worse as they try to delay declaring that their whole brand is built on sand

Only if it doesn't work. In a lot of ways this is a similar idea to a government supporting a failing bank - they know if it collapses the loss of confidence in the whole system will damage them more than the cost of supporting that one for a while. It buys them time to sort something else out.

Big Ern It would give me great delight to see Portsmouts go into administration. I truely hate the scummy little club and thier scummy supporters

I know there's a degree of fishing here, but I'll bite.

Pompey may well be a scummy club with scummy supporters, but any business/club going into liquidation should be a warning for others that it can happen to them and its not the time for gloating. Beating Pompey 6-0 would be the time for that!

The unskilled employees who work as secretaries, groundsmen, catering staff, etc. will no doubt relish your views on them having to find new wages, especially since if a company goes broke they will get no redundancy payments.

Funny how when Harry leaves a club it all falls to pieces isn't it?

Bournemouth
Southampton
Pompey
West Ham

Presumably his tight fiscal policies and executive ensure that he holds the club together without any self interests

bookies have stopped taking bets on 'arry being sacked

RIP Spurs in six months

Allegedly something to do with "money laundering" should it be true

All Harry's previous clubs are legendary for their lack of fiscal control.

Spurs could be where his greed finally caught up with him

from yesterday:

Back in June the whole Bent Arry gig appeared to be on the wane as soccer agent Willie McKay and Amdy Fane were both released from bail.

There were seven individuals arrested originally and they included David O'Sullivan, Karen Brady, McKay, Fane, Storrie and Redscnapps.

Arry, you might recall was rearrested in relation to some tax issues along with Storrie and Brady.

So fast forward to today and a member of Spurs Odyessy is today saying the following...

'Some very interesting developments on the case involving Redknapp, Peter Storrie and the Amdy Faye transfer imminent, lawyer friends tell me....'

And when nudged along..

'Without going into too many details, for obvious reasons, case files have been delivered to legal chambers, and there are some serious questions to answer.'

There maybe some truth in this.
Alan Brazil on talksh1te this morning was going on about how he knows something to do with a big Prem club is going on and how the story would break on Monday morning. He was saying he is in the know but because of his connections and loyalty to the club he could and would not say anything.
Sounds like someone else has let the cat out of the bag.

Portsmouth and Spurs in the brown stuff then? Luvverly jubbly as 'Arry would no doubt say.

Except the powers that be would not let Spurs come to harm; not if the cost of avoiding penalties or sanctions is the club size and fancy lawyer potential as shown pre-prem days with Spurs v Swindon penalties for irregular payments in early 90s.

Pumpey on the other hand can rot....

Just a couple of points of factual accuracy:

1) Al Fahim is not a Dr of anything - of philosophy or, god forbid, medicine. iT's merely self styled agrandissement.

2) He's also not from Dubai at all - but Ras Al Khaimah - the northern-most of the emirates where the most excitement they have is worrying goats.

Now for some alleged speculation:

He is simply as dodgy as. He's been driven out of Abu Dhabi because of his flash style and self promotion. Even Bling Bling Dubai won't have anything to do with him.

Pure conjecture suggests that he knows he has bitten off far more than he can chew this time and is finding the harsh realities of the British media and fanatical supporters much harder to deal with than he thought.

In fact, thinking about, Al Fahim and Pompey are perfectly suited to each other.

Thank you for your post Dick...this just gets better the more I hear!!

I thought it would take relegation for Pompey's finances to implode but it seems we won't even have to wait that long.

I hope the "good Doctor" paid cash for his Pompey baseball cap.

Living in the premier league is perfectly sustainable from a business point of view.

What isn't sustainable is spending money you don't have, which is what Portsmouth did (and is what a huge number of premier league clubs do).

The game needs regulation, like in Germany, where clubs that don't budget properly get kicked out of professional football.

Peter Storrie said not All the money from all the player transfers and the Sky TV money, all of the £35m from January, has gone straight to the Standard Bank. There is no money left.

What sort of mess must they be in for it to get to this?

I just feel that this might be the big club failure that is needed to bring some sanity (and regulation) to it all - but I thought that when Shinawatra couldn't pay the bills and Man City - and he was rescued by someone even more prepared to throw money at the problem!

If it happens to someone (and it really needs to) then Pompey are one of the best more realistic clubs for it to happen to. Another "big" club fairly close for their fans to go to ( ), not likely to get bailed out because of location or history like a London, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle or Liverpool club.

LOL @ Carlin saying we're more likely to go under than Pompey or Saints and that Pompey have got loads of money...

LOL @ our fans asking where the money has gone!

We've had betting suspended all day in our betting shop on the Premiership Manager's market but I believe he went from 33's to EVS within 24 hours. Could be an interesting couple of days.

That is of course, pure guesswork and uninformed paranoia.

I have to say that I've enjoyed watching Portsmouth FC being passed around dodgy, foreign business men like a Russian whore who's had her passport stolen.
