Juventus 2-3 Man United (Man United win 4-3 on aggregate)

1-1 at Old Trafford in the first leg, Juventus go into the second leg with the away goal, and inside 11 minutes or so, Inzaghi with both goals, go 2-0 up on the night. Leaving United needing a miracle. Then Keane gets one back, and then Yorke equalises all before half time after also hitting the post and Juventus having one cleared of the line by Stam. United in the driving seat now with 2 away goals.

Second half, Juventus have a goal by disallowed, Inzaghi thought he sealed his hat trick. United hit the post again from dennis irwin and with 6 minutes left, Dwight Yorke is through on goal, tries to take it past Peruzzi, who in turn brings the forward down but Andy Cole is on hand to slide the ball into an open net. As the commentator said that night.. "Full steam ahead.... Barcelona!"

Rangers going to elland road and knocking out the english champions leeds in 92 was a big day, hately cracker and a mccoist header from a hately cross, great game.

Borussia dortmund winning was nice, ricken with his first touch to make it 3-1 versus juve in 97.

Man utd vs bayern - the usual game everyone picks.

Redondo v Utd

Ronaldo (fat Brazilian) hat trick v Utd

Tino hatrick v Barca.

Depor's comeback from 4-1 down to beat Milan in Q/F....made even better by Shitto Inzagi missing from a yard in the last min of 2nd leg to take game to ET.

Any Barca v Chelsea game when JM was manager.

Zizou's goal in the 2002 final.

Ac Milan 3-3 Liverpool

Jens Lehman getting sent off in 06 Final

Monaco beating Depor 8:3 in '03/4

PSV almost beating Milan in 07 S/F

Celtic 2-1 Milan

Leeds getting to S/F

There are so many more I could mention.

Right, I hate the CL and all it entails, but two games stick in my head:

Milan destroying Barcelona 4-0 in 1994. Has there ever been a better performance? Barca had Romario and Stoitchkov upfront and Milan had Baresi and Costacurta suspended yet still smashed them.

A comeback by Werder Bremen against Anderlecht. Think they were 3-0 down at home and they won 5-3. 1993ish.

Can't speak for Mags but as a fellow CL hater it's the boring inevitability of the group stages leading to pretty much the same 8 clubs in the QFs.

It gets mildly interesting then but only mildly.

Same here - CL group matches are incredibly dull so I won't watch them. I'd love the CL to return to the old EC format with a non-seeded draw but that's never going to happen.

Yeah, and I'd love it to be for champions only, not teams who finished 2nd, 3rd or 4th.

Exactly. I don't understand how anyone can get excited about the endless group matches which only exist to a) make money and b) give the big names a higher chance of progressing thus going back to a).

I only bother watching when it's the QFs and later, but even then it's so overblown I really don't give a shit who wins.

Yes, TBM, there is that. But I'd rather read a book than watch Man Utd or Arsenal thrash some crappy little European team.
