Smoking Kills Dancing Doe Was just going to say the same as Ian.

Where is the quote from, what squad is he talking about?

Why do people believe anything they hear/read in the media?

It sounds remarkably like what he was saying before the season started when Brendan had just joined. I certainly haven't noticed anything similar recently.

I'd also expect something to be reported on the OS if SJM had given a vote of confidence. Nothing on the first two pages of news.

I smell tabloid rag bullshit.

FiNeRaIn We'll see, being 19th in the championship does not mean you are too good for league one. I bet if we were in that league we wouldn't be near the promotion places.

with you on this one finny, how many said we were too good to get relegated from the Prem and there were 3 worse teams than us, inc Fulham, who are now in Europe, where JM said we were not ready for.

I presume when he refers to great squad and great manager he's refering to the catering team?

FFS, do you not think the OS would be reporting a statement of confidence made by SJM? The Sun have recycled what he said when Rodgers joined and made the rest up.

Since when will the football club publicly announce that a vote of confidence has been given?

Which newspaper was it reported in?

If you still believe the story then you had better look for pixies at the bottom of your garden

When did you last hear a chairman publically say:

"If we don't start winning, he will be clearing his desk"?

im still find it quite unbelievable the lack of patience and realism on this site. 11 games, pretty much a new squad, and a new era for the club. what do you expect?

Whoever called for Coppell (or SSC if you'd rather refer to him in a retarded way) needs to be frog marched to the wind turbine, wait til the wind gets up, strapped to it, and forgotten about. He's been a spent force at RFC since 2007.

IF however we pass xmas in the relegation zone, then of course my view would change, but come on 11 games and a new team give the bloke an f'ing chance.

Quality post Focher.

But, please stop putting the boo-boys and the na'er-the-wells down, this has been their shining glory. I'm always suprised by the number of fans who have been on here consistently, and slated whatever the club do. It's staggeringly small minded and ignorant.

Personally, I feel it is the Queen's duty to take over from Madejski. She has horse and pigeon racing teams so it's downright unpatriotic for her not to own a football club, it is England's national game after all.

Bloody Germans, come over here taking our monarchies...

Gordons Cumming Do you think he should say:

"The manager I hired is crap, the players he's bought and inherited are crap, and we're a country mile from the Premiership where I was hoping to sell to some Arabs"

That would be positive and help moral.............

?

I'd respect him a bit more for being honest

You would be inclined to give the bloke a bit more rope if he didn't keep telling us what a world class manager he is and what the special group is doing turning in these results!

I can think of managers worse than Keegan, but 'greed, we don't want him.

He won't be sacked at Christmas, I don't think JM is like that. Coppell should of been sacked in the relegation year and he managed to keep his job even though we lost 8 on the bounce.

He got Fulham promoted from the third tier, not this level we are at.

And anyway, those promotions were a long time ago.
