Harpers So Solid Crew My radical ideas would be as follows, divide the North Stand the same as the south Stand, giving a choice of which we can put away fans into.

Harpers So Solid Crew as there has been a lot of discusion on here lets see how HNA? thinks it should be done for next season.
For arguements sake we shall assume that we stayed up, and will be playing in the Championship again.
My radical ideas would be as follows, divide the North Stand the same as the south Stand, giving a choice of which we can put away fans into.
This would enable home fans to leave the East and pass throught the current safety gate, it would enable the whole north or South to be closed for certain games, making a cost saving.
Therefore only sell ST to East and West stands, uproar from those North ST holders, but action has to be taken.
Views and ideas welcome.

Harpers So Solid Crew One problem is that buying a ticket game by game has now almost gone, so it is easy to miss games, as i suppose fans have always done.
The link between the club and the fans is disappearing fast in the new age of football.
It seems that clubs, and not only ours want you to buy online, in advance and turn up on match days. No please no thank you, pretty much like self service checkouts in shops.
We have dropped back to our level of ST holders, the club have not made areas different prices, so with 18/18k in the ground most can get a decent seat of their choice on a match by match purchase, rather than being stuck in the rafters and miles from the action, or down the front and getting wet in the rain.

Ian Royal How would pissing about with the North stand help that? Your suggest will piss off thousands who are already happy.

weybridgewanderer 1/ dividing the north stand up like the south stand would cost money therefore unlikely
2/ the thought of an additional safety gate between the north stand and the east stand would mean we could pen the east stand fans in for a period after the game! There may be some that would think this was a good idea.

When the MadStad was being built, originally away supporters would have been in the North stand. But then the police intervened - they have to be in the South Stand so that there's an easy road for coaches to get in and out, and also for police access when required. The whole of the South stand is setup for away supporters (it's not just the seated area you need to segregate, it's the concourses too) and the police and cells are based around that too.
Can't see much advantage for all the money that would need to be spent, even if the police did allow it. The money would be much better spent building a safe pathway down the slope from behind the East Stand. The original one being unworkable is the cause of the grief getting away from the East Stand.
