Club or Country?

by ankeny » 13 Oct 2009 19:45

Listening to the radio in the bath there was a discussion about would you support your club or England if it came to the push, the usual suspects (Liverpool and Man U) rang up to say club first and sod England.Well fellow Royals, what would it be, England win the world cup or Reading promotion?World cup for me.

If I was playing for my boyhood club (Reading), then they would always come first. If I played for anyone else and had the opportunity to play for England, I'd almost always want to participate for my country when given the chance to do so.

Seen RFC win promotion a few times in various leagues and as I only got another 4 or 5 worlds cups left in me I would love to see them win it one more time before I kick the bucket.

Football fans are so fickle, not just you..the majority.

You are letting the dislike of one player stop you from supporting your own country?

You will be the same wally sucking him off for the rest of his life if he scores the goal to win us the world cup.

I would go a step further and say the whole England team are pretty much a bunch of cnters. Used to follow England Home and Away now i sometimes dont even watch on the TV.

That said, i think i would still go for England winning the World Cup. Only comes around every 4 years and winning it would be a once in a lifetime. Ive seen Reading promoted 5 times and we've been there and done it with regards to the Prem thing.
