MadDog's in the dog house...

by swansea jack » 20 Oct 2009 09:20

The Beeb said:

League Two side Cheltenham Town have placed manager Martin Allen on gardening leave.
Allen, 44, has been asked to stay away from Whaddon Road pending an investigation into an alleged incident at a nightclub.
A club statement said: "Martin will not be required to attend work pending the outcome of an investigation into the allegations that have been reported."
Assistant manager John Schofield has been placed in caretaker charge.
More to follow.

That's his life in professional football over, surely. He confessed on 5Live that Leicester are legally bound not to give the reason for his departure from the Walkers Stadium. Coupled with this nightclub abuse story, who would give him a job now ?

Did we ever find out why he got sacked from Reading? Was it the thing with a player's wife, or was that just a rumour?

legend

Mr Allen hit the headlines for the wrong reasons when he was barred from The Salisbury.

'Mad Dog', as he has been nicknamed by football fans, allegedly danced on the stage with his shirt off before dropping his trousers and parading towards the dancefloor in front of pub-goers during a drunken night out

He'd been banned the week before from the other nightclub for getting his nob out. A whopper no doubt.

Was going to another after game on friday, big que, try to jump it, bouncers said no, he says don't you know who I am, bouncer still don't care, calls him a oxf*rd nigger.

Sounds like a decent couple of nights....

Look at picture 9 - it's the CCTV from the nightclub. The date on the picture : 20/9. The club have sat on this until they needed to use it.

The guy always was, and always will be, a bit of a tool. A joke in the RFC dressing room after the novelty had worn off.

You remember, don't you Spacey?

Agreed. Hate him. Useless manager and a waste of space. Hope Cheltenham get rid before he takes them back down into non-league football.

It's always the same with him. Ranting, raving and management by fear will only work for so long.

Smoking Kills Dancing Doe He'd been banned the week before from the other nightclub for getting his nob out. A whopper no doubt.

Not nececssarily, if he'd been singing "Father Abraham" with his mates and they'd got to the risque verses, he'd have been duty bound to drop his trousers.

I can recall Waingels Old Boys FC making it as far as "skins back" in the Bull & Chequers before being asked to desist.
