Baines McLaren's performance at FC Twente doesn't mean that his performance at Boro, with the players and money at his disposal, was any better than par.

Whilst at boro he won a League Cup and reached a UEFA Cup final. That's way way ahead of par for the money spent and players that he had available.

TBM As Graham Taylor said on the radio last night, "a manager needs 3 seasons before they have the squad they want and the style of football they want to play - if they dont manage it in that time, its fair enough to sack them"

12 games is NOT 3 seasons!

Whilst I agree that every manager deserves his fair share of time to get results, I can't help but notice a huge downside to your point... the fact that you're quoting Graham Taylor.

winchester_royal It's still a good point, at the very least most managers should have 2 transfer windows to sort it out.
