Would love to see him back in management and I reckon Brighton is a good fit for him.

I don't think he will go back into management so soon. And he better not go for them. He can do better, surely.

Good fit for him and can see it happening - he's had a bit of a break now.

Good club and he know's the set up and despite not keeping them up - did a good job to give them a chance last time.

But this is exactly the sort of thing he may consider, and has habitually taken on in the past. He left them because he felt that they couldn't progress in the situation they found themselves in, and Reading presented a better challenge in an environment where he could actually progress the club and build his own team. With Brighton's imminent move to Falmer, they will almost certainly be in a position to offer him a job and keep him this time. All he would have to do is oversee the current turbulent patch, oversee the move, and progress. He even has a player who he had at Reading in Nicky Forster who could easily set up as player/coach under Coppell. Let's face it, he could do a lot worse than Brighton at the moment. He was well respected down there, he openly admits he enjoyed his time there and he left them in a good position (top of Division 2).

And he'd not have to move.

I can understand why Coppell would go there, but he doesn't seem a manager who can handle the pressure. Surely he should be managing a team in the top flight? Coppell is my all time favourite manager and good luck whatever he does.

Coppell and Forster at Brighton. Wow I may support them.

It'd be nice to see Coppell find his level in League 1.

Ah Brighton; I do miss their deluded requests for 9000 away tickets and their single minded conviction to the mental fairy tale that, "Bobby Z" will one day score against big Four in the prem.

Linked with another club. I can see him taking the job. Not sure if it's a little too soon yet. I think he can easily pick up a team much further up the pyramid. But for Coppell it seems all about the type of club and circumstances rather than the league placing.

I get the feeling he genuinely enjoys taking small clubs with potential and over achieving with them. He really isn't into the big club bullshit, or the Premier League PR management.

Lets face it, I doubt he's short of a few bob, so as long as he's in work he enjoys it doesn't matter what level it's at really.

Wonder what level we will be at soon?

FWIW despite some on here Brighton have massive potential, and with the new ground being built I can see them getting out of level 1 next season, no further from the top 6 than us .

Hope the other stands are bigger or they're not going to squeeze all their fans in.

Thats just a Model deathy, you should find a pic of the planned look of the madstad, all sorts of bits different, it won't be any better than any of the new ones, unless they are good with how they market it to the new fans in the first season.

Fun with copps name on the list .

I love the ways these artists impressions always show stadiums surrounded by green fields.

The drawings for our extension (LOL) showed lovely parkland where there is in fact a retail park.

We'll be fine...Brighton's new ground won't be as big as ours, despite this potential you bang on about. He's got to manage to take them from the bottom of the league up to ours to begin with, which might take some time given he only managed to leave us in the same position as when he took over 6 years before. We've got just as big a catchment area as Brighton.

I always thought he wanted a year long break from football.

I think he went to the US to caddy for his lad while he tried out for his PGA card after finishing college there.

He's turned down bigger jobs already, I can see him going there. But might hold out for one last pay day.
