According to Sky.

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528, ... 08,00.html

Sky Sports News understands Portsmouth manager Paul Hart has left the club with immediate effect.
The Pompey boss has faced persistent speculation regarding his future all season and it is now reported that Sunday's defeat at Stoke was the final straw.
Portsmouth have won only two league games this season, leaving the South Coast club at rooted to the bottom of the Premier League.
That run of form has only increased pressure on Hart, who has been forced to wrestle with boardroom changes, uncertainty over the ownership of the club and financial difficulties.
The former Nottingham Forest boss performed wonders in keeping Portsmouth in the top flight last season when appointed on a temporary basis, but his time now appears to have run out.
Avram Grant, appointed as director of football earlier in the season, will likely be installed as the favourite to succeed Hart.

Was always going to happen after bringing in Grant as DoF. Sad news though.

Dreadful decision by a morally - as well as financial - bankrupt football club.

Didn't think he was a very good appointment in the first place. He may be ok at short-term/caretaker role but not a long-term Prem manager. To be fair, he's not had the best of luck i.e. finances/player sales.

I imagine Grant will be the man to come in.

Grant not in running apparently. People saying Ferguson Jnr, Curbs, George Graham or Coppell.

You're a knob, Hart plays too cautious and defensive. I like our football at the moment.

What's that based on?

The game I watched Sunday they attempted to go forward against Stoke the entire game. Stoke were THAT bad I almost wanted Pompey to get something out of it as it was daylight robbery they lost. The problem with Portsmouth....they sold all their strikers. Their forwards are absolutely MINCE.

I quite like Paul Hart, wish him well in his next job.

Sky Sports News indicated that Portsmouth might give him until the end of this season. Is this the case?

That first half was one of the most boring i have seen in years! Hart also comes out after the game and says that they should've one as had way more chances... They only had 4 more off target, otherwise the on target and corners were the same... :|

It seems harsh that he should lose his job for minor statistical inaccuracies.
