Novel man management. Can we expect to see future goal celebrations from Potters accompanied by Glasgow kisses?

I always had Beattie down as a bit of a pussy too, with his squeaky girly voice and ghey look......if he isn't sacked by the club then something is rotten at that club

Haven't seen this report yet, but I read yesterday that it had been Pulis who first attacked Beattie, after the striker questioned his decision to have the players in training Monday, after their Xmas party on Sunday night.

Most reports are claiming that Beattie was giving it the billy big bollocks to the other players saying he'd cleared it with the boss for them to have Monday off when he hadn't.

Pulis wanted them in so Beattie started slagging him off in the dressing room and Pulis had a go back.

Basically to cut a very long story short. They had the party on the sat and had been told they could take Monday off too.

After the match Pulis tells them they have to come in Monday. Beatz pipes up about it being great to have a manager you can trust. TP flies at him.

BT failed to turn up to training with the press reporting he was using the gym at the stadium, although the gym at the stadium doesn't have anything in it as it's at the training ground. BT then turns up at training post lunch to smooth things over.

Today the local rag say it's all cleared. TP's not the forgive and forget type, just ask Kits.

Anyone else getting 2days off after their Xmas party?

I think the issue is Pulis going back on agreement. It's hardly like a 2-0 defeat at Arsenal is a terrible result. Trust is a big thing within teams and after this I should think the trust that the players have in Pulis may be damaged. All Beattie was doing was standing up for his teammates.

Also it appears that Pulis was the agressive one not Beattie so I fail to see what he has done wrong.

They were terrible, could have been 6 or 7 easy. I think TP was upset that they seemed to have moved on from the defeat and could only think about their party.

TP's an old school guy, whose feelings and values couldn't be much more different to ur average Prem player. Add that to the fact that TP's not the most popular guy, players out the team will always form against you, he's gone for the leader by the throat.

Plus the man is a psychopath.

Tony Pulis apologised to his players on Monday for the violent outburst that has pushed James Beattie towards the exit door at Stoke City.

The club have launched an internal investigation after Sportsmail’s revelations that Pulis and Beattie came to blows in the wake of Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Arsenal because of a row about the players' Christmas party.

But Pulis, who, it is understood, was naked when he attempted to butt the 31-year-old former England striker, called his players together before training yesterday and said sorry for his conduct.

Beattie is now also thought to have apologised to Pulis and the player will be considered for the squad to face Wigan on Saturday.

Pulis and Beattie argued after the Stoke manager told his players they were expected to report for training on Monday.

Beattie responded by reminding Pulis that he had told them they could extend their Christmas party — in London on Saturday night — into a two-night affair and report back for training a day later.
