As for best league in the world. Well, for the top few yes.

But every year the standard of the rest just gets worse and worse. there are 9 clubs in the prem this year that are genuine relegation material. Pompey, wigan, wolves, hull, west ham, stoke, sunderland, bolton, blackburn. All absolute crocks of shite.

edit, make that 10 forgot Burnley. thats half the league.

Having been been to a La Liga game recently (At. Madrid vs Espanyol), I'd like to think I am more qualified than most to comment. Thousands of topless locals with their shirts spinning above their heads, singing and chanting for 90 mins non-stop, watching mostly Spanish players. LOL at the thought of Utd or Chelsea fans even singing in support of their team.

Back on topic I believe it is a disgrace. There is talk of eu rules etc preventing the authorities to put in quotas but surely the time had now come. Either say
must be minimum of 3 British nationals per starting 11 or only 3 players starting from outside of eu.

Club like Pompey and dire straights they are in, you would think it be cheaper to get rid of overpaid foreign crap and buy up the best div one talent etc. Would go someway to help secure future even if they are relegated.

I know personnaly a guy who is just finishing his academy programme at Pompey and is trying to break through into the reserves etc. He is on a pittance yet there is one French lad there who is utter rubbish and lazy as hell and picks up a grand a week. He pays off other lads to go easy when they compete in beep tests to show how unfit he really is.
