Congratulations Kris Boyd

Following his 5 goals v Dundee utd last night he is now the highest ever scorer in the SPL

Still has some way to go before he becomes the highest ever scorer in the top flight in Scotland

I'm still surprised no Premier League team have bought Kris Boyd. His goal scoring record is impressive.

In Scotland, yes. It's a cliche, but he fits it. His record in Europe is 3 goals in 19 appearances for Rangers, which isn't so good. I'm sure he'll get a move in the end, if he wants it.

SPL is shit. no Prem team in their right minds would go round buying strikers from that league.

Smaller Premier League clubs might. Stoke bought and played Dave Kitson, who I doubt would score 2 every 3 games in Scotland. That said, why would Boyd swap silverware with Rangers for a relegation struggle?

Clearly a natural goalscoring but how good is Boyd as an all around player?

Be interesting to see if Brum's current league position and a wedge of cash will be more successful this transfer window as I'm sure McLeish will try again.

Are you old enough to remember the senior Ross Jenkins?

Well, a bit like that, but without the silky finesse and passing vision.

Not quite.. but .know after a slow start (the sort that would probably get a playing booed etc nowdaysd) he banged in a few goals as we rose from 4th Div to 2nd in 1st Division.

Was he the same sort of player then?

They said on Football Focus that he's only scored once against Celtic. Which shows a poor record in the big games.

I don't think his Physique would fit the pace of the Premier League. As a Rangers fan said on 606, "If he cut out the pies and the ale he'd be even better."

Yeah, Fergie lost his mind when he signed Larsson on loan a couple of years ago.

Pedant.

He may of been on loan from Barca but he spent most of his time and built his reputation in the SPL with Celtic. Therefore anyone saying that no manager in his right mind would sign a player who's played in the SPL is an idiot.
