African Nations Cup 2010 Thread

Yes it's back, that tournament that all the Premiership mangers love to hate, bringing the best of Africa to Angola. Coverage in the UK is available via the BBC or Eurosport. Can Egypt win it for a record 3rd successive tournament? What will the tournament tell about the African chances ahead of the World Cup.

Groups consist of:

GROUP A: ANGOLA, MALI, MALAWI, ALGERIA

GROUP B: COTE D'IVOIRE, BURKINA FASO, GHANA, TOGO

GROUP C: EGYPT, NIGERIA, MOZAMBIQUE, BENIN

Player to look out for include Stephane Sessegnon of Benin who plays for PSG and is on the radar of a number of Premiership clubs. Mohammed Aboutrieka of Egypt will continue to shine in these tournaments.

CAF have to swallow this as it's all their fault - they took the oil money hence this is in Angola and the next two Equatorial Guinea ( :shock: and I mean :shock: ) and Libya.

as for the tournament, this could be quite open, especially if Ivory Coast manage to completely choke again.
