First, it was Eduarseo who cheated with his dive and was going to be punished. Then all of sudden, he's been let off.

Now, it's Thierry Henry who was going to be punished for his act of cheating. What a fvcking surprise that FIFA decides to let him off.

When are they going to stamp down on the cheating?

Spacey - IF they punished Henry for a handball they would have to punish everyone who does the same in future. If anything they should be punishing the ref/linesman for failing to spot the offence - they have no way of proving Henry handled the ball on purpose so punishing him would have been harsh considering its not a punishable offence in the game normally.

They have video evidence and Henry's admission that he did it. I thought they'd at least give him a one match ban.

I suspect the linesman/ref might not get to to referee the World cup final though.

I don't think we need Henry's admission - the video evidence should be enough proof of his cheating.

Find a way for them to change the laws of the game and the competition retrospectively and they'll punish him - but with no such law available what can they do?

What can they do? As you suggested in in your first few words, find a way to change the laws of the game!

No, he admitted that it was handball - he never said he did it on purpose.......infact he said it wasn't intentional. So as said, how can you ban a player for a handball??? - handballs happen every week in football, does that mean everyone should be banned for it??

Change the law now and how far back does it operate to keep Spacey happy? Just this year? If not, why not penalise Maradona for his Hand of God?

Open the can of worms to allow punishmenst like this after the match and unleash a whirlwind that will change the game completely.

Spacey, Talksport's Adrian Durham had the exact same view as you the other night.

Sadly for your parents, this only adds weight to claims that you are a cock

So you want cheats to continue to get away with their crimes.

Even before this investigation they were saying that it was 'blatent unfair playing' so it looks to me like they didn't want to do anything retrospectively rather than not having enough evidence to do anything about it. They're now talking about having more referees and investigating video technology more so maybe they will be doing something in the future.

That's a lesser evil than having the video of every single match scrutinsed and players being banned for anything they did wrong in that match.

At the cost of a more honest team going out of a competition due to the other team cheating?

That's not right, is it?
