John Terry (give over on this initials thing) - twat, and a slow one at that.
The Daily Mail - bunch of twats.

A marriage made in heaven.

Cant see him hanging onto the England captaincy.

Step forward Rooney or Gerrard?

It's just the newspapers and not real life. No reason for him to lose the captaincy at all.

I do like centre halves like him, who are not very good, but seem to galvanise everybody around them - Tony Adams and Matt Mills, potentially - but they shouldn't really be playing for England.

Focher
Compo's Hat http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wayne_Bridge

He has split from his wife after her infidelity with his former Chelsea team mate and England captain John Terry. The affair resulted in Vanessa getting pregnant and requiring an abortion. Wayne has told Fabio Capello he does not want to play in the same squad as John Terry.

I'm not really sure how that's funny? Bridge is absolutely devastated according to 'sources' and you can understand why.

This is yet another mark on Terry's wrap sheet. The man is just scum. I don't think his position of captain of England is tenable any longer, after all the captain needs to be respected, not just as a footballer but as a man, and I can't see how he'd have the respect of his fellow profesionals. That said many footballers don't have a moral compass (or the brain to tell right from wrong) and I hear that his antics are not uncommon at Chelsea.

Is it only in England that we worry so much about who is the captain?
England sides have always had a number of club captains playing and IMHO the captaincy of the team is meaningless.
Remember that Beckham was captain for a while and the Rebecca Loos stuff made no difference.
In footballing terms Bridge has gone backwards in recent years but unfortunately apart from Cashley there is no obvious candidate for the back-up spot although I would suggest that Baines is better than Bridge.

I think it's quite relevant that England's captain has done something that actively damages England's squad.

Bridge is our second best left back and now wants nothing to do with England's captain. Quite rightly. Terry is scum and overrated.

In Italy the player who's picked in the national team with the most caps is Captain of Italy.

Terry is one of the best defenders we have.
The FA will leave this up to Capello.
Leaves a bitter taste in your mouth, or maybe hers, but he's one of the best defenders in England.

If all he'd done is leave a bitter taste in her mouth then no-one would ever have found out about this story!

John Terry, former Dad of the Year.

Kerry Katona, former Mum of the Year.

I bet Fritzl's polishing his Grandad of the Year award in some Austrian prison.

Does everyone think Bobby Moore's extra-curricular activities should have resulted in him being stripped of the England captaincy?
