dont stop believin......

by Only one Trevor Morley » 24 Jan 2010 20:46

ok cringe alert on high......

I had a really clear dream that reading were going to win the FA cup - what was even more strange was that I dreamt that Brian Mcdermott got to number one in the charts by singing his own version of Dont stop believin as our cup final song... (the 'jouney' version as heard at the very last episode of the Sopranos (superb ending) - not that glee version). Also the whole crowd was singing it at wembley - everyone was word perfect....

I did a quick bit of googling and the song has got form as well for becoming a sporting anthem - although this ended in defeat!!

I'm posting this simply because I wonder whether we could play it before the WBA game in the hope we continue to win... the thought of 30,000 royals singing this at wembley fills me with equal measures of cringeworthyness but a corny sense of 'what if' as well as I have this really stupid belief that maybe it all come true.... I fully expect a wall of criticism for the song choice but dont blame me, blame the dream........

I've backed Reading at 300-1 in Corals to win it before the burnley game as well so there is a financial incentive..... bets looking a bit better now....

I wonder if Brian can actually sing?

she just a small town girl.......

Ha Ha. Would have been a good idea idea if it hadn't recently become associated with cheese, corn, the charts and all sorts of shit!

Heard them play this on BBCRB "for all those heading to the game" and it made me laugh, so thanks.

This was actually played 15 mins before the start last night - so thanks if someone read this, but could I ask that you leave it on till the chorus - we switched to the royals anthem before the best bit!
