depends what you are looking for Floyd.
If you want personal acknowledgement of your "hallowed attendance" by the players and staff, then yes, you are in the wrong place.
If you just want to see some full-bloodied competitive football, in surrounds and an organisation better than a local park, then Scours would appear to be the place to be.
I can't confess to being totally sold on it, but, it is a very cheap alternative to travelling away with the Royals...and a good way of supporting what is a local backstreet treasure....and more to the point, watching football at grass roots with a beer in your hand

.
It would appear that yesterdays defeat (and Almondsbury's win) puts the whole prospect (of what was until a few weeks ago a nailed-on promotion) of stepping up into the same league that W&E and the likes of Michael Meaker still ply their trade in severe jeopardy, Reading Town cannot be faulted for the effort that is evidently going on behind the scenes.
I was one amongst one of the biggest crowds that I have seen down there in my dozen or so games that I have attended, and the welcoming was one of the better ones by Roly and his chums (incoming money makes me smile too).....but the football is what I really paid my £6 for.
To the game, ...................a big and strong Highworth defence outmuscled and outackled the Reading front line. Tho' neither team creating too many clear cut chances over the 90 minutes, it was Highworth who scored the inevitable breakaway goal against the flow of play.
Town had a decent shout for a penalty (from #2 Williamson) late into the game turned down as they piled on the pressure.
Reading remain top, clear by 4 points, however, Almondsbury have three games in hand and look unbeatable at the moment. On the bright side, Towns future could still be in their own hands as they face "The Almonds" twice in their last two games of the season.
